چکیده

The application of ceramic Nanofiltration (NF) membrane in brackish water treatment is increasing due to strict quality standards. Ceramic NF a widely used process and has replaced reverse osmosis (RO) membranes many applications lower energy consumption higher flux rates. This work aims study the separation performance tubular TiO2 at low-pressure (2 bar) for single tertiary salt mixture separation. The results showed that rejection ions ordered as follows: R (Cl1-) ion size > calcium (Ca2+) sodium (Na1+) magnesium (Mg2+) size. Moreover, highest Cl1- was about 46%, Ca2+ Mg2+ 44%, Na1+ 37%. pure through investigated distilled calculated be 5.29 x 10-7 m3 s-1 m-2 bar-1, this dropped down feed 2.56 bar-1 presence particles feed.

Seawater Desalination by using Nanofiltration (NF) and Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) Membranes in Sequential Mode of Operation
In this study, the applicability of nanofiltration (NF) membranes as a pretreatment prior to reverse osmosis (RO) in seawater desalination was investigated. The membranes used wereNF270 and NF90 as the NF membranes, while the brackish water (BW) RO membrane BW30 was used as the RO membrane. In desalination tests, permeates of the NF membraneswere collected and used as the feed to th...
متن کاملAn investigation of desalination by nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and integrated (hybrid NF/RO) membranes employed in brackish water treatment
BACKGROUND As an appropriate tool, membrane process is used for desalination of brackish water, in the production of drinking water. The present study aims to investigate desalination processes of brackish water of Qom Province in Iran. METHODS This study was carried out at the central laboratory of Water and Wastewater Company of the studied area. To this aim, membrane processes, including n...
متن کاملImpact of PAC Fines in Fouling of Polymeric and Ceramic Low-Pressure Membranes for Drinking Water Treatment
This study assessed the issue of membrane fouling in a Hybrid Membrane Process (HMP) due to the export of powdered activated carbon (PAC) fines from a pretreatment contactor. Two parallel pilot-scale ceramic and polymeric membranes were studied. Reversible and irreversible foulings were measured following three cleaning procedures: Physical backwashing (BW), chemically enhanced backwashing (CEB...
